I've been so busy with local-ongoings that I've been keeping in touch with the world out there through the internet and blogs. One of my favorite local blogs, Chuvaness, keeps me abreast with the latest that's happening in the local scene. The author of the blog, Cecile, is smart and witty, and she has about 20,000 to 30,000 readers a day--approximately 29,980 more than mine!
Her post today is about the movie I am Love. I'm so excited to watch it because I love foreign films with beautiful styling, settings and cinematography.
Just watching the trailer makes my heart beat faster--for the homes that look beautifully designed, tables that are exquisitely set, food that is perfectly and meticulously prepared, for beautiful Italy--oh yes, I almost forgot, the love story!
I love that the movie is in Italian with subtitles, because there are some expressions and feelings that do not translate well in English.
About The Film
I Am Love tells the story of the wealthy Recchi family, whose lives are undergoing sweeping changes. Eduardo Sr., the family patriarch, has decided to name a successor to the reins of his massive industrial company, and in so doing, surprises everyone by splitting power between his son Tancredi and grandson Edo. However, Edo dreams of opening a restaurant with his friend Antonio, a talented chef. At the heart of Tancredi’s family is his wife, Emma (Tilda Swinton), a Russian immigrant who has adopted the culture of Milan. An adoring and attentive mother, Emma’s existence is shocked to the core when she falls deeply in love with Antonio and pursues a passionate love affair that will change his family forever.http://www.iamlovemovie.com/
Yay, something to watch tonight other than Nurse Jackie!
